The idea: one van, many doorbells
Once the husbands have left for the office, the plumber’s real schedule begins. Every house on the street has a different woman behind the door, each wanting something different and setting her own terms, and the whole neighbourhood seems to know what he is up to. Candy AI calls him the street’s “open secret”.
If you searched “Harriet Seagrave: Candy Lane Rounds”, this is the series: she’s one of the six credited creators here.
Sixty-nine seconds in the suburbs
We watched the free opener, which runs 1:09. It starts on the plumber’s van sitting in a bright residential street, then moves into a kitchen: the blonde woman of the house, silk robe on and a milk bottle in hand, and a pipe under the sink that keeps dripping. Nothing more is shown than a robe and a plunging neckline.
The tone is playful, closer to a cheeky sitcom setup than a slow burn. Because the premise promises a new house each time, episode 1 tells you about the format more than about where it goes; we haven’t seen episodes 2 to 5.
Free part, paid part
Episode 2 opens once you sign up, at no charge. After that it’s 12 tokens per episode for the closing three, so 36 tokens covers everything. Interest is climbing: we measured 474 searches over 20-26 October, up from 180 a week earlier.
Should you?
Yes, if the anthology angle appeals: it is cheap to finish and quick to judge. If you’d rather follow one pairing, Under the Boss is a single office story that also credits Harriet Seagrave, and Boss Paid Me to Watch His Wife sticks with one wife from the start. All our titles are on the series list.
