Not another living room
Most of the series we cover play out in houses, offices and hotels. Sworn to the Queen goes back to a castle. The rule is simple: touching the queen means death. Yet the 22-year-old queen posts the castle’s lowest-born guard outside her bedchamber, and Candy AI says “she keeps daring him”. The danger is the whole point, and it gives the story a tension that doesn’t depend on anyone sneaking around a family home.
The throne room opener
Episode 1 is 58 seconds long. We saw a great hall with a throne, knights in full armour, and the queen, dressed in deep red velvet slit high on the leg, singling out the man who will guard her. There is no nudity.
It sets a formal, slightly theatrical tone: costume, ceremony, and a woman who holds all the rank. Here she is the one choosing, and the first minute makes that plain. If that reversal is what you want, you’ll know quickly; if the period trappings feel like dressing-up, you’ll know that quickly too.
The paid stretch
Episode 2 needs a free Candy AI account, with no payment details. The last three episodes are 12 tokens each, 36 tokens altogether, roughly a third of the 100 tokens Premium gives you monthly. That makes it one of the cheaper ways on Candy AI to see a story through to its last episode.
Worth it?
For a viewer who wants something other than the usual domestic set-up, yes: it’s cheap to finish and costs nothing to try. Interest is modest; searches we measured were 70 last week, down from 105. If you’d rather stay in the present day, Under the Boss swaps the castle for an office, and new Candy Shorts lists the latest arrivals.
